Aaron Thomas Phillips

Aaron Phillips is a First Year Graduate student from Gainesville, GA and is excited to be a part of Project 21.   From a young age, Aaron has sung and performed in choirs till current day and has a passion for writing choir music.  Aaron received his Bachelors of Arts in Voice Performance from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia where his love for choral music was further pursued.  In his third year, Aaron struggled with getting through his degree and his music theory teacher advised taking composition lessons.  Aaron found a new love of writing music and in his short 3-year span of writing, Aaron has had 1 commission from the Lillian E. Smith center for Dreamland, an 8 part acapella setting of a Christina Rossetti text and 1 dedication to the First Presbyterian Church in Clarkesville, GA for Little Toys a 4-part choir piece w/ piano and Trumpet.  This year Aaron has 2 commissions for the Chestatee Academy Carnegie Chorus in Gainesville, GA and another commission for First Presbyterian Church Clarkesville, GA.   While at OCU, Aaron wants to pursue a writing career for video game music.
