Prior to college Brian took private lessons from James Keys and Sean Younge (drums), and later Nita Twyman (piano). After starting to write his own music he ventured into recording. After recording his band's first demo (2002) he began to record other local artists. Post High School he attended OSU-OKC where he obtained an Associate's Degree in Technical Communications (Network Emphasis). He then enrolled at Oklahoma City University as a Music Composition major. Currently he studies with Dr. Edward Knight (composition), Lendell Black (composition), and Claudia Carrol (piano). Outside of college he plays drums for Eyes Made Ready and develops web sites. His future goals include writing for film, television, and video games.
